The Winery

Our goal in cultivating this land is to produce premium craft wines and quality tender fruit for everyone’s enjoyment, including our own. We have the utmost respect for the time and efforts that our ancestors have sown into this property over the past several generations. We continue these traditions, combining both older, proven methods alongside modern technology and wisdom. Nestled in the Niagara Escarpment and surrounded by layers of green orchards, vines and our own farmyard animals, Honsberger is very much a primary example of what Ontario farming has to offer. Our roots run deep into this soil while our passions course through our veins, making Jordan not only our history, but our future as well.

Honsberger wines are every limited in quantity, and can only be purchased onsite. We encourage our guests to visit our wine shop and tasting room which allows us the opportunity to engage, talk about Honsberger story, ensuring that they leave with a bottle or two and feel like part of the family.

For tastings of groups of four or more please contact us  for private tasting options or call 905.562.4339 ext 5006

Winemaker Bio

Kelly’s first hands-on winemaking experience was in Napa Valley at Saintsbury Winery as a cellar intern where she learned all procedures from the sorting table to bottling.  Since Napa, Kelly attended Brock University for Winemaking and has interned further with Tawse Winery and Le Clos Jordanne amongst other premium Niagara wine producers.

Currently, she is a Winemaker at Domaine Queylus and The Farm where she focuses on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and also manages her own vineyard on the Beamsville Bench in Niagara.

As our Winemaker at Honsberger Estate, Kelly loves the idea of making wine from grapes from one, and only one property (that has been in our family for generations!). Honsberger Estate Winery is in its sixth vintage and the site has proven that it is well suited to Cabernet Franc and Riesling. The wines are made with little intervention and are left to express the vineyard and its potential.
