The Schuele Sauvignon Blanc joined our Handshake Series in 2019. This series is made from small lots of wine from local grape growers that share the same values as Honsberger Estate: family, friends, hard work, and quality. The Schuele family’s vineyard is situated in the Lincoln Lakeshore Appellation.
These grapes are hand harvested, whole bunch pressed, and the juice is left to settle for a few days. After racking, the juice is moved to a stainless tank and left to ferment naturally. The nose expresses citrus fruit, cut grass, and nectarine and the midpalate is lean with a gooseberry note. The finish is mouth-watering and refreshing.
